(For vehicles built after May 2016)

Since 2016 a new type of air conditioning gas is required by law for all new vehicles. The gas is called HFO-1234yf, which replaces previous refrigerants, as it produces 98% less climate-damaging pollutants than its predecessor, R134a. The servicing process however is still the same. Air Conditioning Services are recommended to be carried out by most manufactures every two years. Over time the gas in your vehicle will deplete naturally. During a service we will remove the gas in the system, then perform a vacuum procedure and leak test. If no leaks are detected, we will recharge the system to the correct filling quantity and test the operation to ensure it is functioning efficiently. Then finish off by sanitising the system using an anti-bacterial treatment to prevent a build-up of bacteria, germs, and odour.
