We’re the Specialists At Keeping Your Van Cool
At Volks Autos, we offer a comprehensive Air Conditioning Service for your VW commercial vehicle that includes a gas recharge and careful inspection. Between services, you can choose our air conditioning refresh: a treatment that removes pollutants, germs, and unpleasant odours to keep the air inside your van fresh and healthy.
Air Conditioning Service & Refresh
During our Air Conditioning Service, our skilled technicians drain the refrigerant gas and perform a vacuum procedure to check for any major leaks. If no leaks are found, we recharge the system to the manufacturer’s recommended levels, removing any air and moisture. We then test the system to ensure it’s working efficiently. Finally, we sanitise the system with an anti-bacterial treatment to prevent the build-up of pollutants, germs, and unpleasant odours.
Air Conditioning System Refresh
Our refresh treatment is ideal for maintaining your air conditioning system between services. We use an anti-bacterial agent to disinfect the system, ensuring clean and fresh air inside your vehicle.
Air Conditioning Service FAQs
When is my air conditioning service due?
Most manufacturers recommend that an Air Conditioning Service be carried out every two years, as the gas in your vehicle will naturally deplete over time. Regular servicing ensures optimal performance, prolongs the lifespan of the system, and helps prevent costly repairs.
My air conditioning works fine, surely I don’t need to service it?
This is a common myth but a dangerous misconception. The air conditioning system must be serviced regularly to help prevent parts from failing. If the air conditioning system is not serviced and stops working correctly, the air-con service may not be successful.
In addition to air-con gas, the system pumps oils through, which helps keep moving parts and rubber components lubricated. If these parts are starved of oil or pressure, they can fail, requiring further work.
How long does it take?
Our Air Conditioning Service takes just under an hour to complete and can be recharged while you wait. Take advantage of our seated waiting area, equipped with free Wi-Fi, hot drinks, and work desks for your comfort and convenience.
