DPF Regeneration for VW Commercial Vehicles
DPF (Diesel Particulate Filter) Regeneration is a process managed by your vehicle’s engine control system. It monitors soot and ash build-up within the DPF and, when necessary, triggers passive regeneration to burn off the collected particles. This process helps break down carbon emissions, allowing them to be more easily absorbed by the environment.
If a DPF becomes blocked, our experienced, brand-trained technicians will conduct an initial assessment and may attempt a forced regeneration using main-dealer diagnostic software. If this isn’t successful, we may recommend cleaning the DPF. After the cleaning, we’ll assess its effectiveness and, if needed, investigate further to determine why the vehicle failed to regenerate in the first place.
